Discursive thoughts

Omg, haven’t posted in months. LOL. I’m thinking about rejiggering this blog a bit.  I’ve been pretty damn conceptual since its inception–nah, even a bit academic–and that was okay.  But…I think I’m getting bored with my conceptual-ness, which is not okay, because it reeks of obscurantism (ha, ha! mouthful).  I’ll be honest: I have a love/hate relationship with academics/academia.  My problem? I dislike gatekeepers and elitists. But then, we do need these folks to critique, catalogue and disseminate “Art.”

Anyway, I’m getting offtrack.

Here’s something interesting, though. At least, something I think is interesting, if you’ll bear with me. I haven’t really mapped out (organizationally) what I intend to do vis a vis a visual poem.  I just sorta go for it, splashing paint all round like a madman.  I’m not using this “technique” for the vispo series I’m working on now. I have the vispos worked out in my head before execution.  Not sure how it will work out, but we will see.
